Eric Johnson co-founded Johnson Insurance Group Inc in 2000. He has more than 25 years experience in the Insurance Industry. He graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a Business Management Degree and is a Captain in the North Carolina Air National Guard for
over 34 years.
Eric runs his business by the Air Force Core Values; Service before Self, Integrity and Excellence in all we do… Eric specializes in personal lines as well as business management. The most important thing to Eric is “providing the best customer service to our clients.”
He is married to his wife Stephanie and together they have 3 children, 5 grandchildren. In his spare time Eric loves to spend time in the outdoors fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Cliff started his Insurance career back in 1993. In 2000, he co-founded Johnson Insurance Group in Gastonia. He specializes in Commercial Insurance. For 25 years he has committed himself to assembling a great team to work on behalf of our customers and to provide the best customer
service experience possible.
Cliff is from Belmont NC and has been married for 35 years to his high school sweetheart Terry McCuen Johnson. Together they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. He proudly served in the NC Air National Guard.
He is very active in his church serving on the pastor’s council along with playing Bass and Keyboard in the church band. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors fishing and hunting and riding his grandchildren on Papa’s tractor.

Chris Johnson joined the team at Johnson Insurance Group full time in 2007. Being raised around an
“insurance office” with his Dad (Eric), he saw from an early age the importance of a comprehensive insurance plan and the value of a local insurance professional.
As a combat veteran of the US Air Force, Chris brings integrity, high energy, hard work, expertise and detailed service to everyone he serves. Chris specializes in personal lines, small business and life insurance. As an award winning insurance professional, Chris uses his knowledge and foresight to proactively address details and customer concerns before they become a problem.
He graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a degree in Business Administration. Chris resides in Gastonia with his wife Natalie and 2 children.
Sales Advisor/ Agent
Payton joined Johnson Insurance Group in August 2015. By October of the same year, she obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance license. Prior to working with the agency, she specialized in sales at Zales Jewelry store in Gastonia. Payton enjoys interacting with our clients each and every day to provide them with top notch satisfaction to meet their insurance needs.

Away from the office, Payton enjoys spending time with her friends and family or just reading a good book.
Carole Lee Ferguson
Customer Service Rep/ Agent
Before joining Johnson Insurance Group in January 2017, Carole Lee worked with another Erie agency which the principal decided to retire. Licensed since 1985 for Property and Casualty and Life insurance products she worked with First National Bank of Shelby, NC which operated a small agency within the bank. In 2005, Carole Lee retired from the bank and decided after staying home for a couple of years she missed helping people with their insurance needs.

At home, Carole Lee loves to scrapbook with her grand kids and attend church activities.
Customer Service Rep/ Administrator
Jessica started with the Johnson Insurance Group in August 2017. Before coming to the agency, she graduated from Forestview High School and has 10 years of customer service related experience. Jessica is currently working towards obtaining her Property and Casualty Insurance license. Jessica specializes in customer care. She strives to meet others’ needs and to keep a smile on their face.

Away from work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and designing with her Cricut machine.

Harriet started with the Johnson Insurance Group in October 2017. Before coming to Johnson Insurance Group she graduated from Ashbrook High School and worked in several different customer service and call center related jobs.
Harriet loves working with our clients. The feeling at the end of the day knowing you helped someone with their needs makes it all worthwhile.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. Also she enjoys to line dance and shag.
